The nonmonomial part is nonzero and contains the ideal #
Step 1 of the proof of [Kol07, Theorem 107] (item 111) reduces the order of the nonmonomial part
N(๐) by rounds of order reduction, each at the order d = max-ord N(๐). Two elementary
consequences of the decomposition ๐ = M(๐) ยท N(๐) (BMO/SplitOrder.lean) are recorded here:
N(๐) is nonzero at every point whenever ๐ is, since a stalk product M(๐)_x ยท N(๐)_x = ๐_x โ 0
has nonzero factors, so that (M, N(๐), E) is a genuine triple; and ๐ โ N(๐), since
M(๐)_x ยท N(๐)_x โ N(๐)_x. The inclusion is what lets a blow-up sequence of order โฅ d for N(๐)
be read as one of order โฅ m for (๐, m) when m โค d.
The nonmonomial part N(๐) is nonzero at every point when ๐ is: from the decomposition
M(๐)_x ยท N(๐)_x = ๐_x, a factor of a nonzero product is nonzero. Hence N(๐) is the ideal of a
genuine triple (BMO/NonmonomialTriple.lean).
At every stalk the ideal ๐ is contained in its nonmonomial part N(๐): from
๐_x = M(๐)_x ยท N(๐)_x and M(๐)_x ยท N(๐)_x โ N(๐)_x. Consequently a centre along which N(๐)
has order โฅ d is one along which ๐ has order โฅ d, which is how Step 1 of the proof of
[Kol07, Theorem 107] reads a blow-up sequence for N(๐) as one for (๐, m).
The inclusion ๐ โค N(๐) as ideal sheaves, the sheaf-level form of
stalkIdeal_le_nonmonomialPart.
